Azure Migration Assessment

For those beginning the journey to the Azure cloud, the first step is to conduct a detailed assessment of your existing infrastructure to determine;

• What systems you have and which systems are cloud-ready.
• Which systems will be an IaaS lift and shift and what Azure instance types are the most appropriate based on the resource usage (CPU/RAM) of the existing systems.
• Which systems can be modernised to SQL PaaS.
• What will the costs be (including costs for compute, backup, DR and Disk) for PAYG and Reserved Instance scenario’s and have any investments been made in Windows Server and SQL Server licences that can be utilised to reduce and optimise costs.

As an assessment deliverable, we provide an interactive Azure Migration Assessment Workbook which maps out each of your in-scope systems on a system-by-system basis and includes built-in Azure costs calculators which enable you to “include” or “exclude” each specific system from the costs calculations, select from any available Azure Instance type, choose any available pricing option combination (PAYG, 1-Year Reserved, 3-Year Reserved, with or without SQL licensing, with or without Azure Hybrid Benefits, Production or Test/Dev).
